This stenter clip is used on Brückner stenter frames. At the machine entry, the upper jaw opens to receive the fabric selvedge, then closes under spring pressure to hold the fabric edge as the chain carries it through the heating chambers. At the delivery end, the jaw opens again to release the fabric. Unlike pin chains, clips hold the fabric without piercing, leaving no pin holes on the selvedge.
